QRT offers a 3-6 month 2027 internship for penultimate or final year students in quantitative development or software engineering. Interns work on technology powering quantitative research and trading, gaining mentorship and potential full-time roles.

Programme Details

  • Duration: 3 to 6 months starting in 2027
  • Open to penultimate or final year Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD students

Role - Quantitative Developer

  • Build technology for quantitative research and trading
  • Collaborate with researchers and traders on live market problems
  • Design tools and infrastructure tailored to research and trading needs
  • Solve complex technical challenges in fast-paced environments
  • Focus on performance, reliability, and iteration speed
  • Gain exposure to quantitative research and production trading systems

Role - Software Engineer

  • Design and deliver platforms and infrastructure for trading and investment
  • Work on ultra-low-latency execution and global risk platforms
  • Develop systems connecting to financial markets, brokers, and data providers
  • Build order generation and cross-asset trading systems
  • Create platforms for profit and loss reporting and risk management
  • Engineer pricing and risk analytics technology

Candidate Requirements

  • Passion for technology, problem-solving, and innovation
  • Hands-on software engineering experience via projects or studies
  • Proficiency in C++, C#, or Python
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and tools like Git, SQL, GCC, Linux
  • Proactive, curious, and able to optimize performance
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and entrepreneurial mindset
