About the role

The 2028 Restructuring Advisory Summer Analyst internship in New York supports complex turnaround, distressed, and bankruptcy assignments. Interns analyze financial and industry information, perform valuation, prepare client presentations, assist with due diligence, and coordinate mandates. The program includes training, mentoring, client and senior banker exposure, and potential full-time Analyst opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze company-specific and industry-specific financial information.
• Conduct quantitative analysis and financial valuation.
• Create client presentations for advisory engagements.
• Participate in due diligence processes.
• Coordinate advisory mandate execution as part of a deal team.

Team

• The Restructuring team advises on complex turnaround, distressed, and bankruptcy situations.
• The team uses a multidimensional approach to generate optimal outcomes for stakeholders.

Program Experience

• Participate in a one-week training program and ongoing analytical, relationship-building, and client-facing curriculum.
• Work on meaningful projects with exposure to clients and senior bankers.
• Receive formal mentoring through a mentor and buddy program.
• Internships may lead to full-time Analyst positions, with progression to Associate and beyond.

Requirements

• Complete an undergraduate degree between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Have historically competitive academic standing.
• Demonstrate interest in restructuring, credit, and distressed financial services.
• Understand industry participants, performance drivers, trends, and challenges.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, problem-solving ability, and numerical analysis aptitude.
