About the role
The 2027 New York Summer Associate Program offers MBA and/or JD candidates exposure to restructuring advisory work, including distressed situations, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and client presentations. Associates receive formal training, mentoring, and on-the-job experience while working with clients, senior bankers, and deal teams.
Team
- The Restructuring team advises clients in complex turnaround, distressed, and bankruptcy situations.
- The team uses a multidimensional approach to generate optimal outcomes for all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and research company-specific and industry-specific financial information.
- Conduct complex quantitative analysis and financial valuation.
- Create client presentations and develop strategic business ideas based on industry knowledge.
- Participate in due diligence processes and oversee advisory mandate execution within deal teams.
Program
- Receive one week of training followed by an ongoing curriculum covering analytical, relationship-building, and client-facing skills.
- Gain meaningful project responsibility and exposure to clients and senior bankers.
- Participate in formal mentor and buddy programs, wellness initiatives, volunteer activities, and team-building events.
- The program aims to offer successful interns full-time Associate positions.
Requirements
- Complete an MBA and/or JD degree by June 2028.
- Have relevant prior work experience and demonstrated interest in industry participants, drivers, trends, and challenges.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, problem-solving ability, numerical aptitude, and a strong grasp of financial concepts.
- Show a strong work ethic, personal integrity, initiative, clear communication, and a collaborative attitude.

- The annualized base salary is $185,000, pro-rated for 10 weeks; additional compensation may apply.
