About the role
PJT Partners’ London Strategic Advisory Summer Associate Programme is a 10-week internship for current MBA students pursuing investment banking careers. Associates work alongside senior bankers and deal teams, gaining hands-on exposure to live transactions, valuation, due diligence, strategic analysis, client meetings, and transaction execution from day one.
Programme Details

- Summer Associates work directly alongside senior bankers and deal teams on live transactions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, structure, and recommend financial and strategic alternatives, including mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, and divestitures.
- Support transaction execution through due diligence, valuation analysis, contract negotiations, and coordination of analyst materials.
- Analyse financial data, financial-market developments, targeted industries, investment opportunities, and associated financial risks.
- Compare companies within relevant industries to assess performance and forecast industry trends.
- Design quantitative models assessing the economic performance of targeted companies and prospective investments.
- Prepare written analyses, participate in client meetings, and support negotiations and due diligence sessions.
