2027 Summer Analyst (Strategic Advisory & Restructuring) London

About the role

Join PJT Partners’ 10-week London Summer Analyst internship, supporting Strategic Advisory and Restructuring & Special Situations teams. You will contribute to financial analysis, transaction execution, client materials, research, and time-sensitive processes across acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, private placements, leveraged buyouts, and distressed situations.

Programme and Teams

• The programme begins with orientation and financial training before interns join their teams.
• Work across Strategic Advisory and Restructuring & Special Situations groups in London.
• Strategic Advisory covers industries including financial institutions, healthcare, industrials, energy, utilities, real estate, and technology.
• Restructuring advises companies, governments, and creditors on financially distressed situations and complex reorganizations.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis and modeling for a broad range of transactions.
• Draft client presentations and prepare internal and external memoranda.
• Conduct financial and business-related research supporting advisory assignments.
• Coordinate complex, time-sensitive processes and assist with transaction execution.
• Participate in internal and client meetings, negotiations, due diligence, and client-facing situations.
• Support transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, recapitalizations, private placements, and leveraged buyouts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong qualitative, technical, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Work collaboratively while maintaining strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Show a strong work ethic and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Have basic knowledge of accounting and corporate finance.
• Bring motivation, intelligence, and strong academic, leadership, and extracurricular records.
