About the role
2027 Summer Associate opportunity in PJT Partners’ San Francisco technology investment banking team. The role supports strategic advisory transactions across technology sectors, including pitches and live deals. Associates complete training, then contribute to financial analysis, modeling, presentations, research, client meetings, due diligence, transaction execution, and time-sensitive processes alongside senior bankers.
Team and Program
- Based in San Francisco within PJT Partners’ dedicated technology investment banking team.
- Supports companies across software, semiconductors, technology infrastructure, and other technology-enabled sectors.
- Work includes strategic advisory transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and leveraged buyouts.
- After completing training, Summer Associates participate in pitches and live transactions across multiple assignments.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis and modeling for advisory transactions.
- Draft client presentations and prepare internal and external memoranda.
- Conduct financial and business-related research.
- Coordinate complex, time-sensitive transaction processes.
- Participate in client meetings, negotiations, due diligence, and other client-facing situations.
- Assist with transaction execution while working directly with senior bankers.
