2027 Summer Analyst - PJT Camberview (Activism)

About the role

PJT Camberview seeks 2027 Summer Analysts in New York City or San Francisco to support shareholder advisory assignments focused on activism. After training, analysts participate in client work, business development, research, campaign strategy, investor engagement, and preparation for senior client meetings, working closely with senior team members in a small advisory team.

Role

• Support PJT Partners’ shareholder advisory business, with a focus on the Activism business vertical.
• Work across multiple assignments and assume an integral role on client teams alongside senior professionals.

Responsibilities

• Understand assigned clients, including their businesses, governance structures, and shareholder relations profiles.
• Analyze strategic, financial, operational, board, governance, compensation, and ESG vulnerabilities relevant to activist theses.
• Support campaign strategy, shareholder engagement, and messaging designed to achieve client objectives.
• Research activists, institutional investors, peer practices, governance trends, activism campaigns, regulations, and market conditions.
• Prepare senior team members for meetings with company leadership and board members.
• Support research materials contributing to the firm’s intellectual leadership and broader advisory work.

Qualifications

• Outstanding qualitative, technical, and analytical skills, including proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
• Robust organizational and time management skills, plus a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong academic, leadership, and extracurricular records are sought.

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student.
• Expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
