About the role

Join Old Mission’s Chicago Options team as a Fundamental Research Analyst in the 2027 Graduate Program. Conduct economic, event-driven, company-specific, quantitative, and qualitative research; analyze market data and datasets; identify trading opportunities; and provide traders with insights supporting tools, strategy testing, and trading decisions across securities and asset classes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify financial, event-driven, and other information affecting underlying securities and their options.
  • Conduct quantitative and macroeconomic research as the primary research contact supporting traders.
  • Analyze datasets to assess potential impacts on security and underlying options prices.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of information that could influence trading decisions.
  • Collaborate with traders on tools, market-data analysis, strategy testing, and fundamental analysis.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or another quantitative hard-science field.
  • Extensive knowledge of securities analysis and financial-market research.
  • Quantitative thinking, analytical ability, and clear communication in time-sensitive trading environments.
  • Ability to research domestic and international financial markets effectively.
  • Ability to multitask across projects, securities, and asset classes.
