About the role
Off-cycle internship in Nomura’s Paris Rates Structuring team from January to June 2027. The intern will support pricing, issuance workflows, marketing materials and client presentations for bespoke interest-rate and hybrid solutions, while helping automate desk tools using Python. The role offers on-the-job training in rates structuring.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day Rates Structuring activities, including pricing derivatives and structured notes.
- Assist note issuance workflows through term sheets, documentation follow-up, and issuance-platform coordination.
- Produce marketing pitches and client presentations for institutional clients.
- Contribute to Python automation covering pricing tools, data pipelines, reporting, and monitoring.
- Work with Trading, Sales, Quants, Legal, Middle Office, and Back Office teams.
Team
- The Rates Structuring team designs, prices, and executes bespoke interest-rate and hybrid solutions.
- Solutions span derivatives, structured notes, and funding solutions for institutional clients.
- The team works closely with Trading, Sales, Legal, Middle Office, Back Office, and Technology.
Requirements
- Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Finance, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with an interest in interest-rate derivatives and structured products.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
