About the role
Join Nomura's 10-week Equity Research Internship in Kuala Lumpur to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis and company research within Malaysian equity markets.
Position Overview
- 10-week internship with Malaysia Equity Research team.
- Gain experience in financial analysis, company research, and investment recommendations.
- Work closely with senior analysts covering Malaysian listed companies across sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in fundamental analysis including financial modeling and valuation.
- Conduct industry and company research using databases.
- Support preparation of research reports, investment notes, and sector updates.
- Monitor market developments, earnings announcements, and corporate actions.
- Attend company management meetings and maintain financial models.
- Prepare presentation materials and assist with ad-hoc research projects.
Qualifications
- Pursuing bachelor's or master's in finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum GPA 3.3/4.0 or equivalent.
- CFA progress is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet is a plus.
- Fluent in English, strong analytical and communication skills.
