About the role

The 18-month MUFG Markets Engineering Analyst Programme develops technology and quantitative engineering talent in London. Analysts help build pricing, valuation, risk, analytics, trade and market data systems, while implementing quantitative models and supporting regulatory controls. The programme combines comprehensive training with mentoring and practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pricing and valuation libraries and platforms for vanilla and exotic products.
• Implement, integrate and productionise quantitative models from Quant Research in robust, testable code.
• Develop risk and analytics capabilities, including sensitivities, stress testing, Value-at-Risk and FRTB-SA calculations.
• Support market data, curve and surface construction, trade capture and lifecycle processing.
• Contribute to margin, PnL attribution, consensus submissions and model-governance deliverables.

• The 18-month programme begins with comprehensive training covering products, clients and business strategy.
• Analysts learn from experienced professionals and connect with peers across the programme.
• Buddy and mentor support is provided alongside ongoing development and collaboration with senior colleagues.

Key Dates

• Applications close on 25 October 2026, although the opportunity may close earlier because applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
• Assessment Centre dates are 20 and 27 November 2026.
• The programme starts on 19 July 2027.
