2027 Summer Analyst - Risk Management - Tampa, FL

About the role

MUFG’s 10-week Risk Management Summer Analyst Program in Tampa offers rising seniors hands-on experience within the Chief Risk Office of the Americas. Interns learn the MUFG Risk Framework, rotate through assigned risk activities, support cross-functional projects, and work with professionals across risk disciplines. Performance may lead to employment opportunities after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Learn how the Bank identifies, assesses, manages, reports, and mitigates risks.
• Rotate through activities within an assigned risk discipline and group.
• Interact with Americas Risk Management, business lines, and product owners.
• Support cross-functional projects showing how risk frameworks intersect and support strategic goals.
• Interpret data, draw conclusions, and present findings effectively.
• Work alongside MUFG professionals who provide instruction, mentorship, and guidance.

Program Structure

• The 10-week program runs from June 7 through August 13, 2027.
• Interns attend learning sessions led by Americas Risk Management professionals across risk disciplines.
• Each intern is assigned a mentor or manager for goals, development guidance, and performance reviews.
• Work takes place at an MUFG office or client site four days weekly, remotely one day.
• The business line is the Chief Risk Office of the Americas.

Risk Disciplines

• Potential placements include credit risk reporting, liquidity risk, interest rate risk, and operational risk.
• Other areas include enterprise risk management and quantitative risk control, including model risk.
