About the role

A two-year London apprenticeship in MUFG’s Structured Finance: Portfolio & Asset Management team. You will support energy, infrastructure and housing projects, monitor investments, identify risks, produce reports and work with clients while gaining practical experience and completing a Level 6 Financial Services Professional Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of major energy, infrastructure and housing projects after funding has been provided.
  • Monitor investments, identify potential risks and contribute to protecting the bank’s investments.
  • Work with clients and internal teams to support long-term business relationships.
  • Produce reports and insights to inform business decisions and maintain accurate project records.
  • Use AI technology to conduct analysis, streamline tasks and improve team efficiency.
  • Support onboarding of new projects and gain experience in financial and portfolio analysis.

Learning and Development

  • Gain practical experience in client communications, data analysis, reporting and business operations.
  • Learn how major projects are financed and managed by a global bank.
  • Develop knowledge of financial analysis, risk management and investment monitoring.
  • Build communication, stakeholder management, teamwork and professional skills through real-world experience.
  • Receive support from coaches, mentors, industry professionals, a buddy and the wider team.
  • Complete a Level 6 Financial Services Professional Apprenticeship leading to the Associated Chartered Banker Diploma.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • GCSEs or equivalent, including English at grade 4 or above and mathematics at grade 6 or above.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Results-driven, accountable, ethical, proactive and positive approach to work.
  • Structured, logical and innovative mindset, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
