About the role

MUFG's 2027 Operations Summer Analyst Program in Tampa offers a 10-week internship for rising seniors and first-year graduate students to gain hands-on experience in banking operations, including loan reconciliation, payments, and project management.

Program Details

  • 10-week summer internship for rising seniors and first-year graduate students.
  • Work four days onsite and one day remotely each week.
  • Gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced banking environment.
  • Participate in projects and team assignments to build financial skills.
  • Engage in professional development and networking activities.
  • Receive mentorship from assigned program mentors.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile business transactions and track cash flow.
  • Support commercial loans, trade services, payments, and enterprise services.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor global initiatives and projects.
  • Assist with loan documentation and syndicated loan servicing.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and improve payment operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical and governance documentation.

Placement Groups

  • Commercial Loans: Member, Agency, and Middle Office roles.
  • Enterprise Services: Internal Control Unit and Productivity Enablers.
  • Payments: Data Analyst role focusing on process improvement.
  • Transformation, Regulation, and Governance roles.
  • Business Management opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 from accredited institutions.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
  • Strong Excel and computer skills.
  • Exposure to process design, change management preferred.
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills.
