2027 MUFG 6 month Amsterdam internship: Japanese Corporate Banking Division

About the role

Six-month internship in MUFG’s Japanese Corporate & Investment Banking team in Amsterdam. Interns support Japanese multinational clients across EMEA while gaining practical experience in client relationship management, credit analysis, corporate banking, portfolio monitoring, research, and cross-border collaboration with experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare client presentations, proposals, and meeting materials.
• Conduct company, industry, and market research.
• Assist with credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, and internal reporting.
• Support client relationship activities and strategic business initiatives.
• Collaborate with Banking, Credit, Operations, and other business areas.

Programme Experience

• Gain exposure to international corporate banking and financial markets.
• Learn about Japanese corporate culture and Japan–EMEA cross-border collaboration.
• Develop insight into credit and risk management processes.
• Build professional skills through training, mentoring, and networking.
• Successful interns may be considered for MUFG’s Amsterdam Analyst Programme after completing their studies.

Requirements

• Be in the final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
• Demonstrate fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Show strong interest in financial markets.
• Have excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Be proactive, motivated, collaborative, detail-oriented, and well organised.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
