About the role
MUFG’s Regional Technology Information Security Team seeks a cybersecurity intern in Singapore for hands-on exposure to security operations, threat detection, incident response, detection engineering, and AI-assisted automation. The role supports APAC and global security initiatives through monitoring, alert analysis, incident workflows, reporting, documentation, and defensive capability improvements.
Responsibilities
- Automate SOC tasks, including email threat analysis, indicator-of-compromise blocking, and other workflows using AI and automation tools.
- Support monthly Key Risk Indicator reports by collecting data from multiple internal sources and preparing metrics and dashboards.
- Contribute to incident response activities, including timely investigation, containment, and recovery during cybersecurity incidents.
- Monitor daily security events and analyze threats including malware, vulnerability exploitation, denial-of-service attempts, and other attack vectors.
- Manage the SOC mailbox, analyze suspected phishing emails, and help triage or escalate security alerts.
- Maintain and develop standard operating procedures, guidelines, workflows, documentation, and process improvements.
Role context
- Join the Regional Technology Information Security Team within MUFG’s Systems Office for Asia Information Technology Risk Management Department.
- Gain hands-on experience across APAC in security operations, threat detection, incident response, and automation initiatives.
- Support ongoing improvements to defensive capabilities and contribute to global programs strengthening the bank’s security posture.
