About the role
MUFG seeks an Application Engineer (Analyst) in Bengaluru to install, configure, support, and maintain UNIX, Java, Oracle, and AIX-based compliance applications. The role covers troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, vendor coordination, incident management, requirements analysis, vulnerability remediation, and L1 support. Candidates need 3–8 years’ software development experience and strong UNIX, shell scripting, and PL/SQL skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, upgrade, and configure vendor applications across UNIX, Java, Oracle, and AIX environments.
- Provide application support for compliance systems, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate with vendors and business teams to resolve critical, SLA-driven issues.
- Analyse business requirements, issues, workflows, and deliverables for projects.
- Track BAU issues using Jira and manage incident tickets.
- Support L1 teams, remediate vulnerabilities, and coordinate issue resolution across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
- Three to eight years of software development experience implementing technologies or vendor platforms.
- At least three years developing, supporting, and maintaining applications deployed in UNIX environments.
- Proficiency in development, UNIX shell scripting, and PL/SQL.
- Hands-on experience with HP QC, UNIX, AIX, MQ, Tidal or Autosys, Jira, and ServiceNow.
- Ability to manage projects through the SDLC while meeting functional, budget, and delivery requirements.
Preferred Experience
- At least two years of banking, financial services, or payments application experience.
- Experience with CGI HotScan or another sanctions-screening system.
- Knowledge of wire scanning, sanctions lists, alert review, list management, rules, tuning, and scaling.
