About the role
Join MUFG as a Financial Crimes Compliance Data Governance Intern in Singapore from January to June 2027. Support data governance activities, data quality monitoring, and AI initiatives within the APAC region.
Responsibilities
- Support Data Governance BAU activities for APAC including change management and periodic assessments.
- Organize regional and branch working groups, prepare materials, and socialize information.
- Execute daily Data Quality Monitoring operations and analyze error reports across Asia branches.
- Understand Data Dictionary, Key Data Elements, and Data Quality business rules for projects.
- Create weekly and monthly reports for regional and global data governance forums.
- Participate in AI initiatives like MS Copilot and Power Platform, supporting reporting and UAT tasks.
Additional Tasks
- Apply basic prompt engineering techniques for AI tool reliability.
- Assist in designing simple Power Apps.
- Document AI/automation use cases, processes, test results, and outcomes.
- Take on ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- Maintain operations documentation with discipline and organization.
- Work flexible hours due to time zone differences.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools like Alteryx or Python/R is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as MS Copilot and ChatGPT is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of prompt engineering and exposure to Power Apps or Power Automate preferred.
- Open to Singaporean and PR students from specified universities.
- Ability to work flexible hours and maintain organized documentation.
