About the role
MUFG seeks a Senior Analyst SQL Developer with 6-8 years experience to enhance risk reporting data warehouses and develop efficient data models and pipelines.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient data models, schemas, and pipelines.
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for ETL processes.
- Optimize query performance ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Collaborate with risk stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Implement data security measures and access controls per governance policies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in code reviews and document changes appropriately.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced SQL skills including stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and star schema design.
- Experience with large data warehouses, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Familiarity with data integration tools like SSIS and ADF, and ELT/ETL techniques.
- Hands-on experience with SSIS development and reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python and PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with risk systems in financial institutions.
- Experience with multiple database platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake.
- Experience using orchestration tools like Control-M.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
