About the role
MUFG seeks an ETL Data Integration Analyst in Bengaluru with 2-5 years experience to design, develop, and support ETL solutions, perform data validation, and collaborate across teams to meet business needs in a financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business needs across HR, Legal, Compliance, and translate into data requirements.
- Design, develop, and support ETL and data integration solutions including batch scheduling and monitoring.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation using SQL; resolve source-to-target discrepancies.
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles for operations and audits.
- Translate technical concepts for business and technology stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot data and application issues; coordinate resolution with internal and external teams.
Additional Responsibilities
- Coordinate work across US and India teams, tracking progress and risks.
- Support SaaS vendor evaluations and fit-gap analysis.
- Assist build-versus-buy analysis and proof-of-concept efforts for in-house solutions.
- Contribute to internal tools using GitHub and GitHub Copilot following secure coding standards.
- Support AI-enabled solutions adoption, governance, and risk assessment.
- Assess AI capabilities in applications and document vendor security controls.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years financial services experience preferred.
- Hands-on ETL development, Python scripting, and relational databases experience.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL concepts, and SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of data security principles and compliance in production environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and prompt-based AI capabilities preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Ability to create and interpret system interface specs, data mappings, and process designs.
- Basic understanding of software architecture including APIs, authentication, and monitoring.
- Exposure to RESTful APIs, authentication, and SQL query patterns in Java/Python services.
- Familiarity with Java, Python, React, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines for internal product development.
- Working knowledge of GitHub, IDEs, command-line tools, and use of GitHub Copilot.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
