About the role

Portfolio Management Intern in MUFG’s Asia Investment Banking Division, supporting management of loan assets across Asia and Oceania. You will review borrower ratings, covenants, credit applications and collateral, analyze industry and economic trends, help identify credit-risk mitigations, contribute to process improvements and data management, and prepare reports for management.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of loan assets domiciled across the Asia and Oceania regions.
  • Review borrower ratings, covenants, credit applications and collateral to identify credit risks.
  • Propose solutions to mitigate credit risks affecting the Bank’s loan portfolio.
  • Analyze industry and economic trends impacting financed projects and loan performance.
  • Support process improvements, data management, daily operations and management reporting.

Portfolio Exposure

  • Learn about lending products monitored by the team, including non-recourse project finance.
  • Gain exposure to power, renewable energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, and real estate finance.

Requirements

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Access, or database systems.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, proactive attitude, people orientation and results orientation.
  • Strong written and spoken English proficiency.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver work under demanding timelines.
  • Finance studies background is advantageous.
