About the role
Thirteen-week Glasgow internship within Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Group Financial Crimes Risk team. After induction and divisional training, interns support internal, regulatory-driven and strategic financial-crime initiatives, working with experienced professionals and business and control stakeholders while developing analytical, communication and risk-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Work within the ISG Financial Crimes Risk team as a full-time team member.
- Assist with internal, regulatory-driven and strategic financial-crime initiatives.
- Gain exposure to identifying, assessing and escalating potential financial-crime and reputational risks.
- Support onboarding and enhanced due-diligence processes for higher-risk client types.
- Work with business stakeholders, infrastructure groups and second-line control functions.
Training and Development
- Complete orientation covering the Firm’s businesses and transition into a corporate environment.
- Attend divisional training focused on core skills required for the role.
- Participate in group projects and organised events with peers, mentors and managers.
- Build a global network across the Firm through training and development activities.
Team Context
- The Financial Crimes Risk team operates as a first line of defense within ISG.
- The team supports an effective risk-management programme tailored to ISG’s non-financial-risk profile.
- Team members are based across New York, London, Mumbai, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong and Glasgow.
