About the role
Join Morgan Stanley’s 12-month Operations Off-Cycle Analyst Programme in Glasgow, supporting transaction processing, confirmations, reconciliations, settlements, client onboarding, controls, and project activity. Working with Sales & Trading, Finance, Legal, Technology, and internal teams, analysts receive induction, product and industry training, networking opportunities, and on-the-job development.
Responsibilities
- Set up new client accounts correctly in internal systems and maintain accurate client contact details.
- Manage counterparty relationships, answer incoming calls, and respond to business-unit documentation requests.
- Affirm paper and electronic trades, investigate pending transactions, and obtain timely client confirmations.
- Investigate and reconcile economic discrepancies, liaising with Sales & Trading and internal teams to resolve disputes.
- Verify broker and client confirmations against Morgan Stanley risk systems before execution and monitor settlement transactions.
- Perform daily cashflow preaffirmation, escalate high-risk and aged items, and provide end-of-day affirmation.
Programme and Training
- Begin with an Induction Day covering Morgan Stanley’s businesses, structure, and strategy.
- Receive product, industry, soft-skills, and team-building training throughout the internship.
- Participate in on-the-job training, networking events, and sessions hosted by different teams.
Working Environment
- Operations works closely with Sales & Trading, Finance, Legal, and Technology teams.
- The division supports institutional, retail, and asset-management businesses while safeguarding financial and operational well-being.
