About the role
The 10-week London Investment Banking Summer Analyst Programme offers penultimate-year students exposure to Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division. Analysts support domestic and international transactions, develop financial analysis, accounting and valuation skills, and work with teams on company, industry and market research, modelling, presentations, memoranda and client meetings.
Role and Responsibilities
- Gather and synthesise financial and operating information on companies, industries and governments.
- Create and update financial models.
- Gather market data to analyse trends and help value and price transactions.
- Draft presentations and memoranda for internal and financial-services audiences.
- Attend team discussions and client meetings.
- Work on a wide range of domestic and international transactions within an assigned IBD group.
Training and Development
- Training begins in mid-June with one week of intensive classroom training.
- Training includes an introduction to Morgan Stanley and division-specific instruction.
- Business speakers and practical sessions provide learning opportunities throughout the internship.
- Social activities and events support idea-sharing and learning from peers.
Requirements
- Be in the penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, graduating in 2028.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and numerical skills when working with financial data.
- Be results-driven, able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Be a proven team player who can manage a wide range of responsibilities.
- Have an excellent academic background and fluency in English.
- Communicate complex ideas simply and maintain high professional and ethical standards.
