About the role
This London-based Global Capital Markets internship offers up to six months of experience supporting equity, debt and leveraged finance transactions. Interns work alongside experienced professionals, analyse markets and transactions, build financial models, attend client meetings and contribute to marketing and execution activities as Full-Time Analyst-level responsibilities.
Placement Areas
- Equity Capital Markets advises on IPOs, equity offerings, convertibles, derivatives, transaction structures, timing and sizing.
- Fixed Income Capital Markets supports debt financing, market analysis, capital planning, roadshows and live transaction execution.
- Leveraged and Acquisition Finance originates high-yield bond and leveraged loan opportunities for sub-investment-grade and sponsor-owned clients.
Responsibilities
- Support marketing and execution of IPOs, capital increases, derivatives, securitisations and other financial offerings.
- Analyse client objectives and advise on effective transaction structures, market timing and financing solutions.
- Gather data and analyse trends, investor sentiment, market outlook, transaction precedents and shareholding structures.
- Review stock metrics and performance, and create financial models supporting transaction analysis and client work.
- Attend team discussions and client meetings, contributing to presentations where required.
- Work with internal teams, clients, investors, lenders, syndicate desks, traders and other banks on transactions.
Training
- Receive on-the-job training while working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects.
Requirements
- Be in the final year of university studies.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and numerical skills, with comfort working with financial data.
- Communicate complex ideas simply and summarise information effectively.
- Be results-driven, perform under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
