2027 Investment Management Off-Cycle Internship - International Consultant Relations (London)

About the role

Six-month London internship with Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s International Consultant Relations team, supporting consultant relationships, sales activity, research, client meeting preparation, and team projects. The role begins in January 2027 and combines on-the-job training with responsibilities comparable to those of a full-time Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consultant records, sales pipelines, and marketing distribution lists.
• Coordinate with internal teams to meet marketing, operational, legal, and reporting requirements.
• Respond to external requests for data, Excel templates, fund information, and due diligence reports.
• Prepare for and follow up on meetings for client-facing colleagues.
• Support market mapping and research across the asset management industry.
• Lead projects designed to improve Consultant Relations processes and performance.

Training and Duration

• The internship starts in January 2027 and typically lasts six months.
• Receive on-the-job training while working with experienced professionals on varied projects.
• Experience Investment Management Division culture while undertaking selected full-time Analyst responsibilities.

Requirements

• Excellent academic background and university graduation, or ability to commit to six months full time while studying.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Interest in investment management and sales.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, including comfort working with large datasets.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Team player with Microsoft Office proficiency; CRM familiarity, such as Salesforce, is advantageous.
