2027 Internal Audit Summer Analyst Programme (Glasgow)

About the role

The 13-week Glasgow Summer Analyst internship places students in Morgan Stanley’s Internal Audit Department. You will support assurance activities, assess controls, document findings, and communicate results while gaining exposure to business areas such as compliance and equities. The programme includes audit training, mentoring, senior-leadership engagement, networking, and a group presentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of business principles and basic auditing standards.
• Participate in audits and issue-closure verification across business units.
• Review policies, procedures, systems, processes, risks, and controls.
• Document narratives and test control adequacy and effectiveness.
• Communicate testing results to management and build relationships across the business.
• Support team initiatives promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Training and Development

• Complete training on internal audit fundamentals and Morgan Stanley’s audit methodology.
• Engage with senior leadership and participate in cross-divisional networking.
• Receive peer mentorship and participate in community service opportunities.
• Complete a group project and present learning to a broader audience.
• Gain exposure to Internal Audit functions and coverage areas across the Firm.
