2027 Investment Management Summer Analyst Program - Strategic Functions (New York)

About the role

Ten-week Summer Analyst program in Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s Strategic Functions teams, beginning June 2027. Participants complete training before joining IM Strategy, Product Development, ETFs, Office of the COO, or Global Risk & Analysis, supporting strategic initiatives, research, analysis, product launches, risk work, and operational projects across the business.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic projects and key business initiatives with investment teams and business partners.
• Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Analyze data and prepare presentations, reports, and materials for planning and decision-making.
• Support product launches, business management activities, risk analyses, and operational projects.
• Collaborate across functions to execute business priorities and develop analytical, research, presentation, and project management skills.

Team Placements

• IM Strategy supports market analysis, growth opportunities, business planning, and strategic initiatives across Investment Management.
• Product Development develops and manages investment products across public and private markets throughout their lifecycles.
• ETFs supports exchange-traded fund development, launches, market analysis, and strategic initiatives with cross-functional partners.
• Office of the COO supports strategic initiatives, organizational effectiveness, and senior management priorities.
• Global Risk & Analysis provides independent oversight of market, credit, liquidity, and portfolio risks.
