About the role
Finance intern in Mexico City supporting legal-entity Finance and Regulatory Reporting activities. The role covers regulatory reporting for Mexican authorities, product reconciliation, accounting processes, capital calculations, finance KPIs, stress scenarios, and preparation of meeting materials. Interns also summarize data and support presentations using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Support daily FX Position reporting for ALCME.
- Calculate, monitor, analyze, and report the Capital Index.
- Perform daily accounting and reconciliation for trading products within the local General Ledger.
- Run, analyze, and report monthly Derivatives Validations to Banco de México.
- Prepare recurring Capital Index reports covering new business, products, market sensitivity, and business-model changes.
- Support finance reports, risk committee materials, LEC materials, and Capital monthly meeting materials.
Projects and Deliverables
- Support the Annual Stress Scenarios Project.
- Prepare regulatory layouts and reports for submission to relevant authorities.
- Validate data feeding regulatory reports, including product reconciliations.
- Update financial information and finance KPIs.
- Summarize data, highlight key points, and present ideas.
- Assist with presentations, projects, and reports using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Requirements
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills.
- Proactive approach to assigned tasks.
- Academic background in mathematics, accounting, finance, engineering, actuarial science, or economics is highly preferred.
- VBA or programming knowledge is preferred; Alteryx is a plus.
