About the role

Ten-week Investment Analyst Internship supporting the Portfolio Management team within Parametric’s Overlay Solutions group in Minneapolis. The role offers hands-on exposure to investment management, portfolio analytics, trading floor risk management, client reporting, proprietary tools, data, automation, and emerging technologies through meaningful business projects.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio managers and analysts with investment research and client-related projects.
• Maintain, enhance, and develop proprietary databases and analytical tools.
• Prepare investment management proposals, client performance summaries, and portfolio reporting.
• Perform account audits and help ensure internal system accuracy and integrity.
• Identify automation opportunities using AI and emerging technologies to improve portfolio processes.
• Support trading floor risk management, portfolio oversight, reports, exports, and workflow tools.

Program Experience

• Contribute to real projects and collaborate with professionals across Parametric and Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
• Participate in learning sessions, networking opportunities, and professional development events.
• Complete an individual or team capstone project and present recommendations to business leaders.
• Gain cross-functional exposure to investment management teams, products, clients, and career paths.

Requirements

• Be a junior or rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, business, or related fields.
• Demonstrate strong interest in investment management and financial markets.
• Bring strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Show technology proficiency and interest in AI, data, and business process automation.
• Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and effective working independently or collaboratively.

Work Arrangement

• The position is based at 3600 Minnesota Drive, Suite 200, Minneapolis.
• The work environment is hybrid, with most roles working three days in the office weekly.
• Out-of-area candidates must arrange their own housing.
• The internship is not eligible for medical benefits or relocation or housing support.
