Parametric - 2027 Data Investment Proposals Internship - (Seattle)

About the role

Parametric's 10-week Seattle internship supports the Data team through investment-profile reviews, consultant database maintenance, quantitative reporting, and ad hoc projects. Interns gain hands-on investment-management experience, collaborate across Morgan Stanley Investment Management, attend development and networking sessions, and complete a capstone presentation to business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Review Parametric investment profiles published across consultant databases and resolve discrepancies using source files.
• Build and maintain content in the team’s Data Repository.
• Acquire and organize internal data for ad hoc projects and decision-making.
• Support consultant database population through external service provider Omni.
• Use FactSet and internal systems to compile reports covering holdings, characteristics, performance attribution, AUM, and personnel statistics.
• Handle additional initiatives and data requests with limited supervisor direction.

Internship Experience

• Work on real projects supporting business objectives across investment management and financial services.
• Participate in learning sessions, networking opportunities, and professional development events.
• Gain exposure to Parametric’s business, products, clients, teams, and career paths.
• Complete an individual or team capstone project and present recommendations or insights to business leaders.

Work Arrangements

• Work 40 hours per week during the summer program.
• The role is based at 800 5th Avenue in Seattle.
• The position is hybrid, with most roles working onsite three days weekly.
• The position does not provide medical benefits or relocation or housing support.
• Candidates relocating from outside the area must arrange their own housing.
