About the role
Six-month Paris internship in Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Trading division, offering placement on Index Trading or Exchange Trading Product desks. Interns produce analytics, reports, and projects, gain exposure to derivatives, market making, structuring, Sales and Trading, and develop analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, and market skills alongside experienced professionals.
Role and Placement
- Work in Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Trading division in Paris for six months.
- Remain assigned to either the Index Trading or Exchange Trading Product desk.
- Experience responsibilities and functions similar to those of a full-time analyst.
- Gain insight into trading desk activities, products, clients, and responsibilities.
Responsibilities and Desk Exposure
- Produce analytics, ad hoc reports, and projects designed to improve trading activities.
- Index Trading makes markets in options and volatility-linked derivatives across indices and exchange-traded funds.
- Exchange Trading Products trades, market-makes, and provides liquidity across global stocks and equity and commodity indices.
- Learn about derivatives traded with different client types and across different regions.
- Gain exposure to structuring, including quantitative investment strategies, structured products, pricing, and product design.
- Work with diverse datasets and contribute to problem-solving in a fast-paced trading environment.
Training and Development
- Receive on-the-job training while working alongside experienced professionals on varied projects.
- Develop analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills needed for the role.
- Gain exposure to Sales, Trading, and Management across the firm.
- Build networks through connections with peers and colleagues across Morgan Stanley.
