About the role
The Global Capital Markets Off-Cycle Internship in Paris offers final-year students experience working as Full-Time Analysts across equity, fixed income and leveraged finance. Interns support transaction marketing and execution, analyse markets and client objectives, build financial models, and collaborate with experienced professionals on domestic and international capital-raising transactions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support marketing and execution for IPOs, capital increases, derivatives, securitisations and other offerings.
- Analyse client objectives and advise on effective transaction structures, timing, sizing and execution considerations.
- Gather data and analyse trends, investor sentiment, market outlook, transaction precedents and company performance.
- Prepare analyses of shareholding structures, stock metrics and transaction precedents.
- Create financial models and contribute to presentations, team discussions and client meetings.
- Work with internal teams, clients, investors, lenders, syndicate desks, traders and other banks on live transactions.
Division Exposure
- Equity Capital Markets advises on equity, equity-linked and equity derivative products, including IPOs and convertible bonds.
- Fixed Income Capital Markets supports debt financing, capital planning, market analysis, roadshows and swap executions.
- Leveraged and Acquisition Finance covers high-yield bonds and leveraged loans for sub-investment-grade and sponsor-owned clients.
Training and Placement
- Receive on-the-job training while working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects.
- Be assigned to a specific group and/or region through an allocation process following an offer of employment.
- Build product knowledge and market judgement through domestic and international transaction work.
Requirements
- Be in the final year of university studies.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and numerical skills with financial data.
- Communicate complex ideas simply and summarise information effectively.
- Perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
- Work effectively in teams, manage varied responsibilities and maintain high professional and ethical standards.
