About the role

The 2027 Finance Full-Time Analyst Program in Tokyo supports Japan Finance and its global businesses through financial analysis, reporting, controllership, planning, and advisory services. Analysts work with Sales & Trading desks, regulators, and management while developing technical, quantitative, communication, and collaboration skills through training and on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support accuracy and guardianship of business-unit books and records.
  • Monitor limits and help maximize the efficiency of financial and capital resources.
  • Provide management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and business-unit advisory support.
  • Contribute to consolidated financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm and its legal entities.
  • Support accounting and regulatory policy, Finance risk programs, and change initiatives.

Finance Teams

  • Institutional Securities Group Finance supports Sales & Trading and other business units as product controllers.
  • Global Corporate Controllers and Planning covers policy, reporting, regulatory consolidation, and legal-entity controllership.
  • GCCP also includes Finance and Risk Assurance, infrastructure financial planning and analysis, and change architecture.

Requirements

  • Expected to graduate between September 2026 and July 2027 from a Japanese or overseas university.
  • All academic majors are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrate interest in financial services and strong technical and quantitative skills.

  • Collaborate effectively, build relationships, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
