2027 Summer Analyst, Investment Banking - Capital Structure Advisory - Dallas

About the role

Moelis & Company seeks undergraduate students for a 10-week Summer Analyst program in its Dallas Capital Structure Advisory team, beginning June 2027. Analysts receive training in financial modeling and valuation, then support live advisory assignments, research, transaction analysis and business development while collaborating with bankers across restructuring, capital markets and M&A.

Program

• Join the Capital Structure Advisory team in Dallas, Texas, for a 10-week program beginning June 2027.
• Receive training in financial modeling, valuation and core investment banking skills.
• Gain exposure to complex capital structure situations and strategic and financial alternatives.
• Participate in professional development, networking and social opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build and review financial models, liquidity forecasts, valuation analyses, recovery analyses and transaction scenarios.
• Analyze financial statements, business plans, debt structures, maturities and liquidity needs.
• Conduct company, industry, capital markets and transaction research.
• Support live advisory assignments, new-business opportunities, due diligence and transaction process management.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch materials and other analytical work products.
• Collaborate with Analysts, Associates, senior bankers, coverage, M&A and Capital Markets professionals.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program and graduate between December 2027 and July 2028.
• Demonstrate strong academic achievement, quantitative ability, analytical skills and problem-solving capability.
• Show interest in investment banking, restructuring, credit, corporate finance or capital markets.
• Understand financial statements, accounting and valuation concepts; demonstrate Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Communicate effectively, stay organized, manage deadlines and work well in fast-paced teams.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, initiative, resilience, professionalism, integrity and a strong work ethic.
