About the role
Join Millennium as an Off-Cycle Trading Intern in AI Engineering, working with investment teams to build AI tools for research and market monitoring. This full-time internship in Hong Kong runs 4-6 months starting October 2026.
Role Responsibilities
- Work with investment professionals on real investment questions in a fast-paced environment.
- Build AI agents and automated workflows for company research and market monitoring.
- Prototype tools integrating internal knowledge, public data, documents, APIs, and analytics.
- Structure and automate multi-source data to support investment research.
- Track and test emerging AI models, developer tools, and open-source projects.
- Translate AI capabilities into practical research products with real applications.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support investment research via data analysis, screening, modeling, and industry exploration.
- Evaluate output accuracy, source quality, and usefulness; refine workflows based on feedback.
Candidate Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong Python skills; familiarity with SQL, APIs, databases, or data pipelines preferred.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, automation tools, or open-source AI projects.
- Curious about new AI models, GitHub projects, research papers, and developer communities.
- Professional fluency in English and Mandarin with clear communication skills.
- Interest in investing and industry research; financial experience is a plus but not required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with document processing, browser automation, data visualization, model evaluation, or real-time data systems.
- Previous technical projects, internships, research, or open-source contributions.
