Women in Trading Spring Week 2027

About the role

Maven Securities’ one-week London insight event introduces women and non-binary students to proprietary trading, options market making, and trading technology. Participants shadow trader graduates, complete simulations, attend expert sessions, and network with employees. The programme runs 12–16 April 2027 and may fast-track successful participants to the 2028 Summer Trading Internship.

Programme activities

• Shadow current Trader Graduates and experience day-to-day life at a high-performance trading firm.
• Take part in trading simulations and hands-on market-making exercises.
• Network with Maven employees and learn how departments work together.
• Immerse yourself in Maven’s culture through informal conversations and networking opportunities.

Learning and progression

• Attend sessions on options market making and macroeconomics led by Maven’s trading team.
• Learn about the tools, platforms, and systems supporting technology-enabled trading desks.
• Build foundational analytical and numerical skills for a proprietary trading career.
• Be assessed during the week for a fast-tracked 2028 Summer Trading Internship place.

Candidate profile

• Be a first-year student on a three-year course or second-year student on a four-year course.
• Be currently studying in the UK and have a genuine interest in trading.
• Be a woman or non-binary student, as this event supports underrepresented groups in trading and technology.
• Demonstrate agile learning, collaboration, critical problem-solving, clear thinking, and willingness to share ideas.
