About the role

Software Developer Summer Internship in London with Maven Securities, offering two weeks of structured technical training followed by a seven-week project embedded in an engineering team. Interns collaborate with developers and traders, learn programming and in-house tools, and may be considered for a following-year Graduate Developer role.

Responsibilities

• Work directly in Maven engineering teams on real-world problems affecting high-performance trading operations.
• Collaborate with Developers and Traders on hands-on project work.
• Contribute to critical technology projects using appropriate tools and engineering practices.

Training and Development

• Complete structured two-week onboarding covering technical foundations, domain knowledge, theory, and practical exercises.
• Undertake a seven-week project while developing practical skills within a Maven Technology team.
• Study fundamentals of C++, C#, Python, TypeScript, and React.
• Learn Maven’s in-house tools and systems, with emphasis on engineering rigour.
• Attend desk-shadowing sessions with current Graduates across a range of Technology teams.
• Receive regular check-ins, feedback, structured reviews, and support from a Maven buddy.

Programme Support and Progression

• Interns are embedded directly into technology teams and contribute to real business projects.
• Successful interns may be considered for a full-time Graduate Developer role the following year.
• Visa sponsorship is available for selected roles, subject to programme requirements.
