About the role

Graduate trader programme based in Amsterdam, focused on options market making and proprietary trading. Candidates complete structured training in London before moving into Amsterdam desk placements, gaining practical experience in pricing, probability, risk, trading systems and live market environments.

Programme and Responsibilities

• Learn the foundations of options market making, including pricing, probability and risk.
• Complete trading simulations, mock trading sessions and classroom-based training.
• Gain exposure to trading desk tools, systems, screen-based trading and broker trading.
• Begin live trading within the first eight weeks, with increasing responsibility and support.
• Move into Amsterdam desk placements after training and work toward joining a dedicated trading desk.

Training and Support

• Complete an 11-week structured training programme in London with clear learning milestones.
• Receive theory-led options training delivered by Maven’s in-house trainers.
• Develop practical trading skills through simulation, mock trading and classroom sessions.
• Receive ongoing feedback, coaching and check-ins from Trading and Emerging Talent teams.
• Receive support from a Maven buddy and participate in structured review points.

Requirements

• Be a final-year undergraduate or master’s student, or a recent graduate.
• Demonstrate strong numeracy skills and a solid understanding of probability and statistics.
• Show genuine interest in financial markets and curiosity to learn.
• Be willing to adopt and use emerging AI technologies.
