Technology Summer Internship

About the role

Man Group’s Sofia Technology Summer Internship offers 12 weeks embedded in a technology team, contributing to software development, DevOps, data engineering and financial-markets platforms. Interns receive formal training, buddy and mentor support, knowledge-sharing sessions, and opportunities to collaborate across the business, present their project to senior management, and potentially progress to the Technology Foundation Programme.

Role and projects

• Work on impactful technology projects that support business objectives and technological advancement.
• Contribute to software development, DevOps, data engineering and Man Group’s core technology platform.
• Enhance the quantitative investment platform and integrate new datasets.
• Extend execution and order management systems supporting the firm’s hedge funds.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Responsible Investment and Operations teams.
• Present your completed project to senior management.

Programme support

• Spend 12 weeks fully embedded within one of Man Group’s technology teams.
• Receive formal training and ongoing support from a dedicated buddy and mentor.
• Attend knowledge-sharing sessions and intern-specific events covering Man Group and financial services.
• Strong performers may be offered a full-time position on the Technology Foundation Programme.

Application process

• Applications are open from 16 September to 30 October 2026.
• The CV screen is followed by email confirmation about progression to the next stage.
• Complete a technical homework assignment expected to take no longer than one hour.
• Attend a one-hour technical interview and a 30-minute final interview in Sofia or by video call.
