About the role

This three-month off-cycle internship at Macquarie Capital's Venture Capital team offers hands-on experience in venture capital activities, including financial analysis, company valuations, and market research, focusing on internet and software sectors globally.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support venture capital activities through financial analysis and company valuations.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and investment opportunities.
• Prepare investment memos and presentation materials.
• Perform due diligence on prospective portfolio companies.
• Develop financial models and valuation work for active and potential investments.
• Work alongside experienced professionals in the internet and software sectors.

Candidate Requirements

• Final year bachelor’s or master’s student, or recent graduate within last year.
• Excellent academic record.
• Basic understanding of valuation, accounting, and financial modelling.
• Strong interest in venture capital.
• Previous internship experience in venture capital, private equity, M&A, or deal advisory.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages advantageous.
