About the role

Join Macquarie Capital’s US Real Estate Principal Finance team as an Analyst in New York. You will screen investment opportunities, underwrite transactions, analyse financial and market data, prepare investment memoranda, and support portfolio asset management. The graduate program includes orientation, formal financial modelling and presentation training, mentoring, and practical on-the-job learning.

Responsibilities

• Screen real estate investment opportunities and underwrite prospective transactions.
• Prepare detailed financial analyses and evaluate relevant market data.
• Distil investment analysis into clear investment memoranda.
• Manage portfolio assets, including internal reporting and equity portfolio business plan decisions.
• Work directly with senior team members across varied transactions.

Program

• Attend orientation covering Macquarie business groups with fellow New York analysts.
• Receive formal training in financial modelling and presentation skills.
• Build practical experience through on-the-job learning and challenging work.
• Partner directly with business leaders and receive manager and mentor support.

Candidate Profile

• Undergraduate student expecting to graduate between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Critical thinker with strong numerical skills and clear communication abilities.
• Collaborative, proactive, resourceful, positive, and committed to a strong work ethic.
• Strong attention to detail with experience and comfort using Excel.
• Demonstrated interest in financial services and ability to build working relationships.
