About the role
Macquarie’s 2027 ANZ Graduate Program offers a 12–24-month structured development journey in Sydney. Graduates can work across accounting, corporate finance, M&A, treasury, risk, retail banking, engineering, business analysis, or data, supported by training, senior leaders, and internal and external learning opportunities.
Program and Development
- Complete a tailored orientation at Macquarie’s Sydney headquarters before beginning the graduate program.
- Undertake on-the-job training across a structured 12–24-month development program.

- Examine problems from different perspectives, challenge established approaches, and develop innovative solutions.
Potential Opportunities
- Support financial reporting, forecasting, tax, regulatory reporting, and business advice through accounting roles.
- Work on mergers and acquisitions, commodities trading, funding, capital, and advisory services.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks while supporting informed business decision-making.
- Support customers with home purchases, business establishment, and personal financial management.
- Design, build, maintain, test, and support systems, software, and technology solutions.
- Use business analysis, data, analytics, artificial intelligence, or emerging technologies to improve outcomes.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be in their final year of study or have completed their studies in 2025.
- Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens, or Australian permanent residents.
- Applications are welcomed from students across a broad range of degree backgrounds.
- Some technology and data opportunities may require a relevant degree or area of study.
- No prior financial services experience is required; curiosity and eagerness to learn are expected.
