About the role

Join Macquarie’s 2027 Commodities and Global Markets Graduate Program in Houston, with direct placement in the Commodities Structuring team. You will work with trading and sales teams to price, structure, and manage commodities transactions while developing financial modelling, presentation, analytical, and relationship-building skills through formal training and practical experience.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work within the Commodities Structuring team alongside trading and sales professionals.
  • Price, structure, and manage commodities transactions.
  • Learn from specialists including geologists, meteorologists, engineers, data scientists, quantitative strategists, traders, and advisers.
  • Collaborate with business leaders on meaningful and challenging work.
  • Develop and test ideas that may create new possibilities.

Program and Training

  • Attend an orientation covering Macquarie’s business groups with fellow analysts in New York.
  • Receive formal training in financial modelling and presentation skills.
  • Build skills through practical, on-the-job learning.
  • Receive support from a manager and aligned mentor.
  • Develop professional connections and industry insight through collaborative work.

Requirements

  • Be an undergraduate or Masters student graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and strong numerical skills.
  • Communicate thoughts and ideas clearly.
  • Collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships.
  • Show interest in financial services, a proactive attitude, resourcefulness, positivity, and strong work ethic.
  • Have strong attention to detail and experience using Excel.
