About the role

Six-month off-cycle internship in Milan with Macquarie Capital's Country Coverage Italy team. Gain hands-on experience in M&A advisory, financial analysis, and live transactions from January 2027.

Role and Responsibilities

• Contribute to live M&A transactions through financial analysis and company valuations.
• Support preparation of research and presentation materials for pitches and deals.
• Conduct market research to assist advisory activities.
• Work alongside experienced professionals to develop technical and advisory skills.

Team and Services

• Part of Macquarie Capital's Country Coverage Italy team.
• Services include buy- and sell-side M&A advisory, debt advisory, and capital access.
• Focus on high-impact transactions in the Italian market.

Candidate Requirements

• Final year bachelor or master student, or recent graduate with excellent academic record.
• Previous internship experience in private equity, M&A, or deal advisory preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting and valuation theory and methodologies.
• Fluent in Italian and English with clear communication skills.
• Proactive, quick learner with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
