Engineering Graduate Programme (Nottingham)

About the role

Join LSEG’s Nottingham Engineering Graduate Programme in September 2027, developing foundational technology and financial-markets knowledge through induction, bootcamp, group projects and qualifications. You may progress into permanent Engineering roles across software and platform engineering or reliability engineering, helping build, operate and improve secure, resilient platforms, products and services.

Role and Responsibilities

• Apply technical and analytical expertise across software, infrastructure, platforms, products and services.
• Build, operate and improve usable, maintainable applications and supporting systems.
• Develop tools and strategies that improve platform performance, availability, stability and recovery.
• Contribute to group projects aligned with LSEG’s organisational goals.
• Work collaboratively across the engineering lifecycle in a product-led, data-driven environment.

Programme Details

• Complete a 12-month development journey focused on foundational skills for future Engineering roles.
• Build knowledge of LSEG, financial markets and the business through global induction.
• Attend Engineering Bootcamp to learn about the business and engineering principles.
• Meet your cohort at Ignite, the programme midpoint skills offsite.
• Access industry-recognised qualifications, including five study days during the programme.
• Transition into a permanent Engineering role aligned with interests and business needs after completion.

Requirements

• Be a final-year undergraduate or Master’s student completing course requirements before August or September 2027.
• Alternatively, be a graduate from the class of 2026.
• Study Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate interest in technology and financial markets through studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
• Show curiosity about data, analytical thinking, strategic thinking, resilience, adaptability and effective collaboration.
• Ideal candidates have unrestricted rights to work in the United Kingdom.

Recruitment Process

• Submit an application and resume, followed by technical and coding assessments.
• Complete an immersive online assessment and strength-based video interview.
• Attend a final half-day assessment centre, held virtually, with several exercises.
• Submit only one graduate programme application; only the first application will be reviewed.
• Applications are considered on a rolling basis and may close earlier due to application volume.
