About the role
A nine-week summer internship starting in June 2027, designed to mirror LSEG’s Business Graduate Programme. Interns join a trading service such as London Stock Exchange, LSEG FX, Tradeweb, Turquoise or LCH, gaining experience across customer solutions, market analysis, business intelligence, strategy, operations and risk.
Responsibilities and Exposure
- Solve FX customer problems, maintain relationships, communicate business information and manage post-sale activity.
- Conduct global markets research, potentially covering debt listings, valuations, shareholder analysis and geographic analysis.
- Deliver business intelligence, strategic initiatives and operational improvements across the organisation.
- Monitor and analyse risks, interpret data, and support risk projects or reporting.
- Contribute as an individual and team member while assisting with the product lifecycle.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Be a penultimate-year undergraduate student completing all course requirements in summer 2028.
- Demonstrate an interest in financial markets through studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
- Show curiosity about data and the ability to analyse information, draw conclusions and propose solutions.
- Think strategically, connect related information, and adapt effectively to changing demands.
- Demonstrate focus, resilience, collaboration and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Have unrestricted UK work rights for the duration of the programme.
Recruitment Process
- Submit one application and resume; multiple applications result in review of the first application only.
- Complete an untimed immersive online assessment designed to provide insight into working at LSEG.
- Attend a strength-based video interview answering a series of questions.
- Complete a virtual half-day assessment centre involving several different exercises.
Programme Details
- The programme starts in June 2027 and lasts nine weeks.
- Interns are placed according to their skills, interests and alignment with business needs.
- The internship is designed to simulate LSEG’s Business Graduate Programme and develop specialist skills.
- Hybrid working includes three office days, with flexible working arrangements.
