About the role

Nine-week Summer Business Analyst Internship in LSEG’s Markets division, based in New York City, beginning June 2027. The programme mirrors LSEG’s Business Graduate Programme and offers exposure to Capital Markets and Post Trade businesses. Placement into a first rotation will reflect candidates’ skills and interests identified during recruitment.

Role and exposure

  • Join LSEG’s Markets division, covering Capital Markets and Post Trade businesses.
  • Participate in a real business role within an organisation providing financial markets infrastructure and data.
  • Gain exposure to capital raising, trading, clearing, portfolio optimisation, and financial, regulatory, and reputational risk solutions.
  • Work with global clients and platforms including FXall and Tradeweb, plus World-Check and identity verification services.

Candidate profile

  • Be a penultimate-year undergraduate completing all course requirements in summer 2027.
  • Study Engineering, or Finance/Economics with a strong inclination toward FinTech or Technology.
  • Demonstrate interest in financial markets through studies, work experience, or extracurricular activities.
  • Handle large datasets and code in Python or SQL, or use Tableau or Power BI.
  • Analyse data, draw conclusions, propose solutions, and connect information strategically.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively while remaining focused, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
