Engineering Summer Internship Programme

About the role

This nine-week New York City internship offers hands-on technology and engineering experience at LSEG from June to August 2027. Interns may work in D&A, Markets, Risk Intelligence, FTSE Russell, or I&C Engineering, with roles spanning development, programming, business analysis, and technology project management.

Candidate profile

• Demonstrate technology interest through work experience, extracurricular activities, self-directed coding, or university projects.
• Show interest in financial markets and how technology supports the business.
• Use curiosity about data to analyse information, draw conclusions, and propose solutions.
• Demonstrate creativity, focus, resilience, adaptability, collaboration, and strong communication skills.

Recruitment process

• Complete a technical and coding assessment covering coding ability, logical reasoning, and problem-solving.
• Complete an untimed immersive online assessment about working at LSEG.
• Take a strength-based video interview.
• Attend a virtual half-day assessment centre with several exercises.

Working arrangements and compensation

• Hybrid working includes three days with colleagues in the office and flexible working arrangements.
• The advertised anticipated base salary is $55,500–$92,500.
• All assessment centres are held virtually.
