About the role

LSEG’s 12-month Engineering Graduate Programme in New York offers permanent employment from day one, technical development, and placement within an Engineering team. Graduates may work across software, platform, reliability, cybersecurity, service operations, financial engineering, or data science while contributing to technology supporting financial markets.

Programme details

• Starts September 2027 and includes a 12-month development journey.
• Build foundational knowledge of LSEG, financial markets, and the business through global induction.
• Complete an Engineering Bootcamp covering business context and engineering principles.
• Participate in group projects aligned with LSEG goals.
• Attend Ignite, a mid-programme skills offsite with your graduate cohort.
• Access industry-recognised qualifications and five study days during the programme.

Engineering opportunities

• Software and Platform Engineering focuses on applications, infrastructure, systems, and the full delivery lifecycle.
• Reliability Engineering focuses on performance, availability, prevention, recovery, and platform stability.
• Roles address complex problems through secure, resilient, product-led, and data-driven engineering.

Recruitment process

• Submit an application and resume; candidates should apply to only one graduate opportunity.
• Complete a technical and coding assessment.
• Complete an immersive online assessment about working at LSEG.
• Attend a strength-based video interview.
• Complete a virtual half-day assessment centre with multiple exercises.
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and may close before the stated date.

Eligibility and skills

• Be a final-year undergraduate or Master’s student completing course requirements before August 2027.
• Alternatively, be a graduate from the class of 2026.
• Eligible disciplines include computer science, computer engineering, engineering, information technology, or related subjects.
• Demonstrate technology interest through studies, work experience, extracurricular activities, coding, or personal projects.
• Show financial-markets interest, analytical ability, strategic thinking, adaptability, resilience, focus, and collaboration.
• Have unrestricted US work authorisation for the programme and permanent employment from day one.
